Baby is Here

I really was in labor back when I wasn't sure and my water really had broken when I wasn't sure - this happens to people all the time.  I labored from 8:45pm Monday night (arrived at the hospital around 2:30am when they told me to come in) to 5:41pm Tuesday afternoon when the baby was born, and it was really not what I was expecting it to be like...it's way more low key, like don't even watch Baby Story, that shit doesn't happen (or not at my hospital anyhow).  The pain is real, the drama is not.  I remember being politely asked, "would you like to push now do you think?  It's up" as if I could just like sit back and watch some tv and like think about it for another 30 minutes or something.  I went for it though.

Welcome to the world Harrison!  I'll post my full labor story in a few days once this little guy is on more of a schedule since there were a lot of things that I was surprised about.  Right now, we're all just trying to survive because none of us know what we're doing and sometimes I find myself forgetting to pee for 6 hours or whatever.  This blog is about to become a lot more of a Mommy Blog and a lot less of a Whatever Blog.  On the ride home from the hospital the world looked different to me immediately... it was such a strange feeling.
