Puppy Attack

We had two days in a row without any bathroom issues and then today was a pee explosion x 2.  We had guests and it turns out 1. Mia loves to go to the bathroom inside when we have people over, and 2.  she loves to bark at little girls.  She probably went to the bathroom inside as like some kind of rebellion against the unfun night that we gave her.  We had to keep her on a leash because the the little girl was obviously terrified of Mia, and and didn't help that she barked at her like she was some kind of intruder.  Overall, it was a really bad first impression.  This is not good, we are having 7 kids here for Christmas so we need to work out this little issue or she won't be able to be a part of the family holiday.

Later as I was trying to calm her down, she decided to attack me.  I'm not sure if she was playing or serious but she jumped all over me, scratching me and her teeth were out and she was growling.  It was probably a combination of play and anger, but it really pissed me off.  I tried to hold her down on the ground to get her to cut the shit, but she wasn't having any of it.  Abe got her to stop and now she's behaving, but I don't know what to do when it comes to stuff like this.  This dog is a serious handful at times and at other times, she is just my little princess.  I'm starting to wonder if obedience class is what we need here or if we need something more!  I'm not sure they teach solutions to separation anxiety in class or how to be nice to visitors or how not to bark at other dogs and joggers.  Why are all those other dogs that we know and in our neighborhood so well behaved?  What is the secret??
