I'm in New Jersey for a work related event. I have to say the area that I'm in is very nice but we had to drive through some really scary and horrible parts to make it here. This event is a training for my department so there are a lot of people here and I do know a good amount of them which helps. We have a lot of sponsored meals so we have to sit and eat our lunch and listen to someone talk about their sponsoring company for 10 minutes and then talk to them after and tell them that lunch was fantastic... when it was just a sandwich. I met a lot of nice people from NY and NJ, way more young people than I imagined.
I learned a lot here in NJ. Mainly I learned that if I don't start doing something that I love soon I'm going to become old and jaded and obsessed with things I can't even get into. I clearly don't fit in with this crowd, we have so many differences. I really don't enjoy that feeling, and nobody does so I'm not alone but it is a lonely feeling...
Thursday I get to come home and get back to my normal routine. My husband even made me some beef and curry for dinner when I arrive to warm me back up. There's nothing like a meal that someone else makes for me. Somehow it always tastes better that way, or its the extra butter.
