The summer of nothing

The end of summer is upon us. Today I wore a 3/4 length shirt which of course screams: hello fall! There are some very sad truths from this season for me.
¤ I bought a maxi dress that never got worn.
¤ I have a new beach bag that was only used on our honeymoon.
¤ I read an embassing amount of books.
¤ We only went on one bike ride and it wasn't through Acadia. It was in fact to Papa Ginos.
¤ I only got 1 pedicure but needed far more.
¤ The driving range never happened for us.
¤ Newport never happened for us.
¤ Al fresco dining never happened for us.
¤ Somehow I got more mosquito bites this year than any other year.
¤ Our place only got messier after the wedding instead of cleaner and more organized.

Although getting married on the first day of summer was great the rest of the summer really just never happened for us. It was lackluster and unmemorable. Bring on the fall.
