i pre-ordered Heather Armstrong's newest book back in January and totally forgot about it. when i arrived in the mail yesterday i was totally thrilled, a new book! i haven't read a good book in a long time or none that i would recommend to you anyways. last night i got through half of it, and i can say that it's really the most entertaining non-fiction book i've read to date. it's about her struggle with pregnancy and parenthood and postpartum depression. it's really honest and hilarious with lots of little back stories that are really very interesting. i felt like: no i can't relate to this because i'm not pregnant, have never been pregnant, and my internal clock hasn't even started to tick yet, but i do feel like everyone tends to gloss over all the difficult stuff when it comes to babies...why do they do that? i think it's kind of mean. maybe they don't want to threaten the human population or something, but Heather doesn't gloss over anything especially the graphic morning sickness. i suggest everyone who likes hilarity to check it out.Wednesday, March 25, 2009
