Mare

it's restaurant week in boston! probably my favorite time of year. this time around we tried out Mare in the North End for all-natural, classic northern italian food. it was awesome. i started with a pizzetta di mare and it had calamari, shrimp, and scallops on top. the seafood was just so fresh and flavorful, i loved it. for my entree i got wild mushroom spagattoni and it was delightful! the mushrooms had so much flavor, and the sauce that the pasta was in was just light and perfect. for dessert we all got the tiramasu, actually this part of the meal was the least thrilling, i've had better, the presentation was nice though. the space that it's in is also really something to look forward to. it was totally modern which you don't expect in such a historic neighborhood, but it was really nice and there were really high windows to look out into the street. i can't wait to go back in the summertime! actually, i just can't wait to go back.
