2007 coming to a close
the year is almost over, and i have to say it was a pretty amazing one. being 25 was awesome, the best year of my life so far. i went to thailand, new york, bar harbor, virginia, disney world, newport, cape cod, and the natick collection. i went snorkling for the first time, and flew first class for the first time. i got engaged!! abe and i knew we wanted to get married after probably only 6 months of dating, and after several months of talking about it we got engaged in november at the beautiful Four Seasons. we even booked a location for the ceremony and reception: june 20, 2009 in ipswich. see you there. i think i've finally found a balance of how much i need to work out in order to indulge in lots of steaks and chinese food takeout (unfortunately it's a lot), and i've found a new favorite restaurant: 10 Tables in JP.
i went bowling twice. and kicked abe's butt Twice. we had lots of lobsters, even freshly caught ones by mike's dad. honestly, they all tasted the same to me: Fing great. i discovered lululemon, proactive, and regular manicures.
my only regret was not being able to go to martha's vineyard. i love it there.
goals for next year: find time to visit friends far away, go to dave and busters, keep an organized closet, keep up more with movies and less with pop culture, work on my bad posture, more time at the beach, and read more.

merry christmas!

merry christmas!! this is my parents christmas tree. adorable right? check out all the wrapped gifts below.
This is my cousin's daughter beth. the most adorable and super cute little girl ever. she loves books and wants to be a doctor, she also showed me every single webkinz she owns by name. she had like 30.
This is my same cousin's son. he has the funniest personality ever.
so this was abe's first christmas with my family and i will say that he did a fantastic job. he was a real trooper. and now, drumroll please.....for christmas from abe i got the ferragamo sunglasses that i wanted from like six months ago, a longchamp bag, and the louis vuitton day planner that i've been eyeing as well as the herb garden from uncommongoods.com. we said we'd do small gifts this year, but of course, small to abe is still pretty big to the normal population. and from my parents we got a plethora of gift cards to funish our new apartment with. it was totally awesome: crate and barrel, pottery barn, visa cards, and also 2 handmade quilts by my mom, a wine guide, as well as anti aging lotions for my aging face. fantastic!! and for abe i got him a peacoat lined with thinsulate from jcrew, a book by anthony bordain, a t-shirt from the summer shack, and a travel sized photo album that he can take with him on business trips. i looooove christmas, the best holiday of the year.

lululemon and more
abe and i braved the crowds and went to the natick collection for some last minute christmas shopping. it was amazing. we bought tons of shit for me at lulu lemon athletica. let me tell you, this place is awesome. it has the most female friendly athletic clothing and accessories that Ive ever seen. its also a very green company, you can find lots of organic fabrics and recycled goods if you care about that kind of thing. meg- sorry there isn't one in minnesota yet...sad, but its coming I'm sure. its really taking off. i got a light weight jacket, a really awesome gym bag, and a super cute water bottle. they have mens stuff too, abe also got a lightweight jacket. its pricey but way worth it. i mean seriously, how cute do i look?
abe got me the herb garden that ive been dying for from uncommongoods.com and a longchamp bag for work. and yuri got us a counter top sized water dispenser. what a great christmas so far and i haven't even opened anything under the tree yet! so many more gifts to come, i love christmas.

At Last
- but is it too done, like is it less special because a lot of people use it? it's really nice though.
Each day gets better - john legend
- too modern maybe...
for once in my life - stevie wonder
- classic. but too classic?
a wonderful life - elton john
- i think this is what it's called. it's really sweet, but is it personal enough...
and i really think that we had decided on one the other night when we were out with melissa and sang, but for the love of god, i cannot remember what it was. so more ideas to come.

holiday office fun
This was not taken at my office. in fact, you would probably be escorted out with your belongings if you showed up wearing something like this.and then, she announced this to her coworkers:
"i put this on this morning to show my husband and he tried to slip a package under it. I said no, and he said "not even with a bow tie on it".
This actually happened, swear to god.

LC, who cares, you're busted.
Now that that hills has become every young person's reality addiction, it has come to my attention that lauren conrod somehow got ugly. she was cute back when she was on that other show...laguna beach. yeah back when she wasn't really all that thin, and she was wearing maybelline makeup, and looking kind of girl next door. then she was cute. she was voted "most beautiful" for F sake. and now....now, well she looks like vanilla cornmeal. like vanilla icecream melted into cornmeal and then mushed all around. possibley the most bland tasting flavor there is. that's pretty unfortunate, but that's what happens when you cast people on the show that are 20 times better looking than the main character. sorry pal, but because of this, you became the ugly ho instead of the pretty ho. ps. kristin cavallari is working on a deal to join the cast next season...even though her and lauren Hate each other. oh the drama!!

a place to call home
Abe and I found our new apartment last night. It's in davis square, and it's just soooo nice. brand new kitchen with new appliances, new countertops, an island, and man is it spacious. we even have a washer and a dryer in the bathroom. do you want to know the best part? there's a walk in closet the size of a small bedroom. the even better part...it's actually a room we're turning into a walk in closet because it's attached to the master bedroom. there's also an office/spare room/gift wrapping center of excellence/guitar hero mecca. this is by far the nicest place i'll ever live. did i mention the deck? yeah there's a back balcony big enough for a grill. there's also a parking spot! i cannot wait to move in there, it's going to be great. and it's even closer to the T than abe's current location. so no more freezing to death or sweating to death while hoofing it to work. i really couldn't have asked for a better place. except maybe slightly cheaper, but hey whatever.

life
natasha's mom just passed away after being ill. she was an insanely great mom, and is an inspiration.
times like these it's nice to reflect upon how much we have and not to take anything for granted. appreciate everything given to you and enjoy life's journey, it's easy to lose track sometimes.

Aquarius' watch your backs:
Today's freaky horoscope:
"Someone whom you think of as a friend may prove less than trustworthy today, dear Aquarius. There are indications of deception all around you. Perhaps someone is keeping something from you, or perhaps they're telling out-and-out lies. Don't be too suspicious of anyone, but be sure to check out the facts of any situation before you take anyone's word for anything. It's always best to do that anyway."
well....as long as it's not abe, then i wouldn't be too surprised about any Ho that was deceiving me. luckily, abe is an aquarius. you know, the best sign.

chanel isn't for the frugal, it's for the awesome
i got a great new product last week. it's the chanel eyeshadow base/concealer. it comes in this little pen and you twist it to get the makeup to come out, then apply it on your eyelids before putting on any liner or shadow. i actually let the product come out, put it on my hand and then use a little concealer brush to apply. it will make the color richer, and will stop the shadow and liner from migrating into the crease. i had bought cheaper versions of this by almay, clinique, etc. but this one is worth the money the other ones didn't work for shit. viva chanel. ok, i just saw how much i paid for this product... i'll pretty much pay anything to feel pretty, if you feel the same way, then this product might be for you.

i hate you vodka, long live vitamin waters.
red sox ticket packs came out this weekend, and we didn't get any. i was really looking forward to being able to get a pack and attend half the games and sell the rest off to make back the money, that was my ultimate plan...but probably a lot of others had this plan too. so not only did we not get any ticket packs, but we also didn't get any single game tickets. so i'm wallowing in my own sorrows, but the real reason that we didn't get any ticket packs is because i was on my death bed from 5am - 11:15am.
The snowball was this weekend. it was fun, but i will say that this is the last one that i will be attending. it was too crowded this year, and i really enjoy dressing up but not for $65 per ticket just to be really crammed in and have really really old dudes giving me the eye, but not like really old dudes with lots of old money, but like really old dudes who look like they got let out of the old person home for the night. also, they're vodka is the reason that i quit vodka....just two drinks...maybe one of those old scary men roofied me when abe was in the boys room.
this was the morning that i quit vodka. it doesn't matter. it could be handle vodka, it could be absolute, gray goose, belvedere, i don't care. i am not drinking vodka of any kind from now on. i had two drinks, and i was puking all morning long, and that's what caused me to forget about the tickets going on sale at 10am. you know, to make a long story short.
also. i've pretty much had enough with people pretending to be nice, it's like: why are you faking it because i know it and everyone else knows it and it's really stupid.

give me some ambien: rant.

i've had enough. enough! i haven't slept well in multiple days, i end up being up so late that i become tired, annoyed, and then ravenously hungry because it's 2am and i ate dinner at 7 but you can't exactly get up to have a snack when you can't sleep....then i'd be tired, annoyed, and getting chubby from late night snacking. oye. i have circles under my eyes and it takes me 2 cups of coffee to even realize that i've had two cups of coffee in the morning. i've tried those stupid relaxation techniques where you say: my toes are relaxing, now my feet are relaxing, now my calves are relaxing, and so on. i try surfing the net, i try watching tv, i try reading. there's nothing left for me to see on the internet, late tv is all reruns, and i have nothing worth reading. i could be researching wedding things, but then what would i tackle during the daytime hours...and i need to leave things for abe. i can't focus. i can't even remember what was on the today show this morning, i'm not even sure if matt was on today or if he had the day off... i forgot to have a diet coke today with my lunch. my everyday rituals aren't even being met. this is sad. how i met your mother was on tonight, but i think i might have changed the channel and forgotten to go back to watch the rest of the episode, why would i do that. i think the patriots might have been on tonight, but i just remembered. i didn't watch. i hope i'm not like this for the rest of my life. it's insufferable.

facts of the day.
-- i get an "excellent driver" discount on my auto insurance!! i just noticed the other day. i hope certain people remember this when i'm being accused of poor driving.
-- i was giving a dropped credit card back to some lady today, and i accidentally punched her in the back when i meant to just tap her. but it was a good deed none-the-less.
